How to use the interactive map

The map selector in the upper-right corner switches between Map 1 and Map 2. Each map keeps its own marker coordinates, so a pin created on one map is not silently copied to the other. Map 2 opens fitted to the full image so the new area is visible before you zoom in.

Server selection matters for time-sensitive reports. Dynamic resources and weather reports can differ by server, while permanent reference markers describe locations that do not depend on a daily report. Check the selected server before relying on a recent community marker.

The category controls reduce visual noise by showing only the marker groups you need. A resource name search is useful after choosing a broad category, especially where multiple markers overlap.

Permanent reference markers, rotating resource reports, and personal custom pins serve different purposes. Keeping those layers separate makes it easier to understand whether a location is curated reference data or a recent player report.

A good custom pin answers three questions: what is here, where exactly is it, and whether the information expires. Place the marker at the closest practical point, use a specific title, and add a short note when the route or landmark is not obvious.

If the observation is temporary, set an expiration time where the interface offers one. Expired reports should not be treated as current evidence. Do not include personal information, account identifiers, or unrelated advertising in a pin.

Votes summarize whether other visitors found a report useful, but they are not an official guarantee. A recent report with clear comments is generally more useful than an old marker with no context. Comments can record a changed route, incorrect coordinate, or server mismatch.

When information conflicts, compare the selected map, server, report time, and marker type before reporting an error. This avoids deleting a valid observation that belongs to a different map or reset period.
